Miss Feng Xue Ting

Words just can't express our joy. Roy and I have accepted her paperwork Wednesday 9-7-2005. we have sent all of Katie's paperwork to a international doctor in New york for a through breakdown. She is healthy and active. In foster care since she was 11 days old. She weighs approximately 17 lbs and is about 27 inches tall. She appears to be wearing 6 to 9mth clothing. She laughs and smiles, plays with bright colored toys and falls asleep on her side. Her bedtime is at 9pm and she wakes at 6am. Taking naps twice a day. She sleeps in her crib and takes a bottle before bed falling asleep. her motor skills seem to be on target. Hopefully we will have travel plans for October to bring her home.

Still Waiting .......

Well we have no phone ringing here yet. Referrals have come in for most of the U.S. as of last Thursday and Friday. With the long holiday weekend it seems to be dragging out. We are hoping to get a call before lunch on Tuesday. I will break speed records on interstate 20 getting to Roy. I can't wait to see the face of a new daddy.

Get ready, set GO!!!!
Could this really be happening? Could we be parents to a third child by the end of the week? Only one knows. Hopefully suttle hints will follow.
Rumor has it they have been sent and should start showing up on the forums today. Bethany is always the last to inform the waiting families due to translating the information before calling.

4 more Sunday's left and counting
I am going insane waiting for a referral and know it will not be any better once we have Katie's information and picture. The longest wait everyone has said is the travel wait. Our Bethany group is trying to stay in touch with each other on a daily basis to catch everyone up to speed as far as the differant offices issuing information. Gage will start first grade on the 8th and Kolbe will be entering into a Pre-school as of the 15th. Gage goes five days a week until 3:30 and Kolbe, Mon and Wed until 12:00. I might put him in a mother's day out on Friday's until 12:00. I think I might get some housework done with all the kids in school, until Katie comes home.

Wow we could be next......
Well as of yesterday the latest LID date we have seen post on the adoption sites is 1-27-05. This means Roy and I could have a picture and specfics on Katie by the end of August. Our LID is 2-23-05. So unless they have bunches of referrals in the last part of January and the first part of February we will be included in the next batch. CNY (Chinese New Year) was about a week to ten days in the first part of February so there are not many days that the CCAA (China's adoption services) were open. They also were working 1/2 days for a while and now are working full days.... A friend through email/groups missed her referral this month so I hope she and Al hang in there. I know it has got to be hard to miss the big day by a few days. Bethany LID group dates are late so we should be able to all travel together. I am guessing we will travel the last week or few days in October and be home in time for Gage's birthday (11-17).
All for now,
